A Great Escape
Vermont. For those needing a refresher in French, the name is taken from "vert" which means "green" and "montagne" for "mountain." Clearly a misnomer, but I guess "Blancmont" (yes, "blanc" means "white") doesn't have the same ring. What does one do to get relief from the long winter? Survey says--"Go to the Bahamas!" Well, we calculated that air fare, hotel and car rental for a family of eight was a bit, well, exorbitant, so we traveled two hours in our trusty Suburban to an indoor water park instead. Twenty four hours of swimsuit clad fun, complete with chlorine. Here are some photos from our recent getaway . . .
